In addition, the corpus data (e.g. full-text, word frequency) has been used by a wide range of companies in many different fields, especially technology and language learning. WebThe term corpus linguistics refers to corpus-based linguistic studies in general ( Biber et al., 1998; Tognini-Bonelli, 2001, among others). Archetypical corpus work existed well before the modern digital era, as exemplified by the early attempts of word indexing and concordancing of the Christian Bible in the thirteenth century.
